Selina Davenport was a novelist.
Selina was born in London and married Richard Davenport in 1800; they had two daughters.

She wrote eleven novels in 20 years, most of which were published by Minerva Press who specialised in Gothic and sentimental fiction.
Selina at various times ran a coffee house and school of dancing.
In 1834 she gave up writing and opened a small shop in Knutsford.
Selina was buried at St John the Baptist’s Church, Church Hill (WA16 6DH).
